A Welcome Party to receive passengers at Federico Fellini’s Rimini Airport

Rimini, 26 May 2019 – The first Lufthansa flight of the Munich – Rimini route was inaugurated this morning, Sunday 26 May.

The Lufthansa flight arriving from Munich punctually landed at 9.20 am at Rimini Airport “Federico Fellini”. The flight departed at 8.10 am with 40 passengers on board.

The landed passengers were welcomed with a “Welcome Party” at the bar of the arrivals.

“Today marks a great day for us – says Leonardo Corbucci, CEO of AIRiminum 2014 – this new route will increase the airport’s standing and its competitive positioning along with connecting Romagna to Germany, a strategic market for all the main stakeholders in the area. With the launch of the weekly flight from Munich, another step of our development project is reached. I wish that with the vital collaboration of the territory and targeted marketing actions, as early as 2020 flights to Munich and other German destinations can increase, consolidating our long term partnership with Lufthansa. This is a great opportunity that Lufthansa is offering to the Romagna region!”

“We are pleased to announce a new connection between our Munich hub and Rimini: an important step, a symbol of our strong and continuous commitment on the Italian territory” says Steffen Weinstok, Senior Director Sales Italy & Malta of Lufthansa Group. “We are sure that this new weekly frequency will attract more and more travelers and tourists, allowing them to discover the beauty of Romagna and the charm of its Riviera. We are very satisfied with our collaboration with Rimini Airport and we are confident that our relationship will remain stable and lasting for years to come”
